Open Monitoring Distribution (OMD)

OMD is an extensive ‘out-of-the-box’ monitoring installation that bundles the Nagios, Shinken and Icinga cores as well as the most useful add-ons into a coordinated complete package. A revolutionary site concept facilitates the parallel operation of multiple full-fledged installations on a single server. The cost to upgrade an entire Nagios installation with OMD is kept to a minimum.

ConSol* employees Sven Nierlein and Gerhard Lausser have been members of the seven-member OMD developer team from the very beginning (omdistro.org). At ConSol*, OMD is the favored and reliable basis for Nagios installations.

We offer:

  • Migration of ‘grown’ Nagios installations to a standardized system based on OMD; optionally also with Shinken core
  • Packaging and integration of your Nagios add-ons that are not included in the standard scope of OMD
  • If necessary: Design and implementation of distributed OMD-based Nagios/Shinken systems
