Hardware Requirements up to 50 Concurrent Users
Below, the hardware requirements for ConSol*CM from version 5.2.3 on are described for x86 environments with 50 concurrent users. The use of other architecture (e.g. SUN SPARC, MIPS, PowerPC, CELL, etc.) requires an equivalent system capacity as described for x86-based systems.
Expansion rates are defined individually. They depend highly on the customer’s adapted ConSol*CM environment and on user behaviour.

Database server: | - memory not less than 4 GB
- 2 x Dual Core 2,0 GHz
- memory capacity of 50 GB for the ConSol*CM database (without logfiles; expansible)
- memory capacity of 50 GB for logfiles of the database (expansible; depends on the customer-specific backup concept)
- load focus: depends upon the basic requirements of the database server, for MS SQL Enterprise at least 4 GB memory.

ConSol*CM server: | - memory of 2 GB, better 4 GB
- at least 2 x Dual Core 2,0 GHz
- memory capacity of 10 GB for CM server data, mail archives, logfiles (depending on customer-specific backup concept)
- Load focus: higher load requires more CPU-capacity
For a heavier use of the system the ConSol*CM server requires above all more processing time, which produces a higher CPU load.
Database load depends on the size of the attachments uploaded by CM/Help users onto the database. |
Servlet Engine / Web-Server (Jakarta Tomcat): | - memory of at least 4 GB (expansible on at least 8 GB)
- 1 x Dual Core 2,0 GHz (expansible on 2)
- memory capacity of 5 GB for Tomcat and CM/Help data
- Load focus: the Tomcat’s memory capacity increases heavily with rising use.
For every 50 concurrent users added, the system requires an additional 1 GB Ram on the web server. |

Application Server: JSP-Container that supports at least Java Servlet 2.2 and JSP 1.1 (e.g. Tomcat)
