Cooper Standard: ConSol CM goes global

Automotive supplier implements new process for SAP development and customization projects using process management solution from ConSol

Cooper Standard, an international automotive supplier with 19,000+ employees and over 70 locations in more than 18 countries worldwide, has implemented a new global process for development and customization projects within its SAP system. This new process is the ConSol CM process management solution.

The IT specialist is now able to use ConSol CM as its standard process tool to manage and implement entire development and customization projects in its SAP environment. This includes everything from tax regulations and country-specific arrangements to special customer requirements.

As the central, all-in-one standard tool, ConSol CM defines the process sequence from the generation of a ticket (as well as review and preparation by the responsible business analysts) through to implementation by the SAP development team, right up to the test run and go-live. ConSol was selected on the grounds of its successful long-term partnership with Cooper Standard encompassing its in-house IT help desk, change management, IT procurement, and HR processes.

Timo Rühl, IT Manager at Cooper Standard, states:

“In the past, if our global business analysts required specific reports, they would have had to use a variety of different tools in order to get an overview of the entire process. This meant a lot of work for the business analysts, who serve as the interface between end users and the SAP development team. That is why we were looking for a standard process platform for SAP software development that would allow us to more effectively integrate our end users and business analysts into the process. We already knew that ConSol CM was a very powerful, flexible, and easy-to-use IT service management solution in many different areas of application. The decision to deploy ConSol CM as the standard tool for the new process was an easy one for that very reason. Furthermore, we are highly pleased with the partnership and know that we can rely on the experience, advice, and implementation of the Munich-based IT service provider.”
