Logistics center monitoring at the OSMC: ConSol presentation in Nuremberg on November 22, 2017

From November 21 to 24, 2017, the Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMC) is being held for the 12th time—the globally foremost conference on the topic of open source monitoring. In Nuremberg, more than 250 systems engineers, developers, network engineers and IT managers from all over the world are gathering. The program has been nailed down: Besides a Hackathon on the final day and four workshops, 18 top-class presentations have been scheduled—from project and user stories to informational sessions on technology.

A highlight among the presentations: the user story of Europe's largest retail company

On the third day of the conference, November 22, from 3:15 to 4:15 pm, Michael Kraus of ConSol Software GmbH and Tobias Kempf of Schwarz IT GmbH & Co. KG are giving a presentation on the topic of “Highly automated logistics center monitoring in Europe's largest retail company”. Read all details on this field report and the presenters.

On Michael Kraus, ConSol presenter:

Michael Kraus is Senior Consultant for open source monitoring at ConSol in Munich. Since 2005, he has been developing and supporting monitoring environments with Nagios and its successors. Against the background of an infrastructure that continues to evolve and change, his chief interest is in the integration of new components into monitoring that makes sense—but it should be open source software only.
