Sakuli 1.0 now available: Release information about the open source framework for automated application testing

Sakuli, the open source framework developed by ConSol, offers end-to-end monitoring and automated GUI testing in a single solution. Sakuli Version 1.0 has just been released. The most important changes are as follows:

  • Graphic installer – simplifies installation on all supported platforms and allows script-based installation of Sakuli using an XML-based answer file.
  • Supports drag and drop
  • Generic Sakuli Starter – standardized Sakuli testing on all systems, pre- and post hooks for users to run their own scripts before and after testing, and a loop mode for testing
  • Icinga2 API Forwarder – allows users to send E2E results to the Icinga2 REST API
  • ‘First Steps’ tutorial – helps users get started with the framework
  • Ubuntu- and CentOS-based dock containers that allow users to run Sakuli tests in headless mode in CI or monitoring environments.
